Richard Saunders – Hunting Consultant

Whilst the country is on lock down, opportunities to get out in the field have been put on hold. Daystate hunting consultant Richard Saunders has been going back through his shooting diary and recalling some memorable recent trips. We thought we’d share a few with you, and by all means feel free to tell us about your hunting trips too.

I spent this evening after rabbits on a permission in the village only a few minutes down the lane. While I was lying in the grass, waiting in ambush, it occurred to me that I was being like one of those anteaters you see on the telly.

I should explain.

Another great video. I got into the hobby during lockdown. My first gun was the Varmint version of the RM8 UC, which was a very good starting point. By coincidence, I recently upgraded to the Daystate Huntsman Revere Safari! While the RM8 was good, the Daystate is just so much better, demonstrating that sometimes you really do get what you pay for! I, too, use QYS domed and also get fantastic accuracy. I don't think I will ever need to buy another air rifle!

"I've never had a hunter/target rifle, as well made, and accurate as this Daystate Revere. Build quality, is fantastic. I've shot it, in the week and a half, with over 1000 different types of pellets..the accuracy is phenolic. with out a doubt, one of the finest PCP airguns money can buy. It's the finest air rifle I've ever had. I absolutely love it. I've had an Airarms s410, that's a nice airgun. But not a patch on the Revere. Keep up the good work.
