Software update files for Alpha and Delta Wolf rifles
Daystate’s latest update files files for Alpha and Delta Wolf can be downloaded by clicking the link below
You will need the optional DTD adaptor (available in the Daystate store) to load these files onto a rifle
V137 dated 17/07/2023
release notes :
- CP V120: Updates to change to new type trigger board
- FW 137: Updates to program on both 12 ft/lbs and FAC rated rifles:
- for sub 12 we have enabled a “power change ” shortcut (from home screen, swipe from left to right)
- for FAC we have enabled a “advanced setting selection ” shortcut (from home screen, swipe from left to right)
Notes/instructions to implement:
- before connecting the gun to USB-DTD, the rifle must be turned on
- start the control panel only after connecting the rifle
- if other rifles need to be connected later, the control panel must be closed and reopened each time a different rifle is connected
What makes a Daystate Rifle Unique?
Our Technology
Daystate was the very first company to produce modern precharged pneumatics (PCPs), with designs dating back forty years. Now in 2018 Daystate are still pushing the boundaries of modern air rifle engineering.
Harper Patent Slingshot
Daystate’s mechanically driven models feature Harper’s patented Slingshot hammer and valve set-up. This Dramatically improves the rifles’ air efficiency by eliminating piston ‘bounce’- a phenomenon that traditional PCPs can suffer from, that wastes air long after the pellet has been accelerated up to the bore. Increased air efficiency translates to a greater shot count, flatter power curve, faster firing cycle and quieter muzzle report.
How Slingshot Works
The ‘slingshot’ hammer is contained in a. cage, the whole assembly accelerating forward upon trigger release. The cage is brought to a sudden halt, but the hammer within carries on under inertia, striking the valve and releasing a pulse of high pressure air to drive the pellet from the breech. Assisted by air pressure and a return spring, the valve is immediately closed, pushing back against the hammer. At this point the Slingshot’s anti-bounce spring stops the hammer from re-opening the valve and wasting air.
MCT and GCU Systems
Our electronically driven models feature Mapped Compensation Technology (MCT). A digital microprocessor and solenoid-powered air valve monitor control every nanosecond of the firing cycle ensure unrivalled shot-to-shot consistency, increased shots per charge and reduced action movement. All the attributes which ultimately translate into improved accuracy at the target.
The Gun Control Unit (GCU) within our electronic models incorporates new safety features and advanced battery management that makes this a class leader in rifles.
HTU
The Hybrid Trigger Unit (HTU) incorporated into the Renegade models is ground-breaking technology that sets a benchmark in trigger release for bullpup air rifles, hitherto a weak link in such configurations which feature forward-placed trigger blades. Powered by a 9v battery, a solenoid instantaneously releases conventional sears placed well behind the blade. In effect, the fly-by-wire HTU blends the advantages of an electronic trigger with the full range of adjustability, crispness and feel of a mechanical one.
HUMA Regulator
The Huntsman, Wolverine and Renegade line-ups now offer the option of a regulated action, where air output is precisely metered on each shot. Developed in partnership with the internationally renowned Dutch regulator specialist, HUMA. this measured air control maximises shot-to-shot consistency as the rifle cycles through its usable air charge. Not only is accuracy improved, but a greater number of shots are returned per fill – a huge advantage on the Hi Power models.
More Information
If you are experiencing a problem or concern with your Daystate air rifle you should initially contact the dealer from where the air rifle was purchased.

Important Power & Performance Information
The performance of each Daystate air rifle is checked before leaving the factory to ensure it meets the required level of consistency and power output for its intended market.
Where a slingshot system is fitted, it is normal for a slight rise and fall in velocity/power as the rifle progresses through its air charge, the test is undertaken at the rifle’s optimum working pressure (OWP). This is not the same as the fill pressure indicated on the rifle’s breech block, but around 40 BAR below (dependent on model), where the rifle’s output will be at its highest on the ‘power curve’. When it has a full charge of air, your rifle’s power could, therefore, be slightly lower than this Test Sheet shows, though this will not significantly affect its downrange performance.
Never fill the rifle with more than the safe working pressure (SWP) indicated on its breach. See the Official Handbook (www.daystate.com/handbooks) for instructions on charging with compressed air.
AIR RIFLE LAW: England, Wales and Scotland
In England and Wales, it is illegal for an unlicensed air rifle to be capable of exceeding 12ft/lbs of muzzle energy with any pellet, otherwise, it is classed as a Section One Firearm for which a Firearms Certificate (FAC) is legally required. The same power limit applies in Scotland, although you must hold a Scottish Air Weapon Licence to use a sub-12ft/lbs air rifle.
Like all UK airgun manufacturers, Daystate calibrates the power of each non-FAC air rifle to ensure it is safely under the legal limit using commonly available pellet brands. While your rifle’s power output will be over 11ft/lbs at its optimal working pressure with the brand of pellet recommended in the official handbook, other brands of pellet may produce lower power output.
If you are in any way concerned about your rifle’s power, contact the dealer from where you purchased it.
Battery Care
The Delta/Alpha Wolf uses a lithium-type battery. It is essential the rifle is used in the correct manner as outlined in the user handbook. Specifically, the safety catch must always be returned to the safe position both for safety reasons and to prolong the battery life.
To prevent any damage to the battery and to prolong its use, we advise the following:
• Always apply the safety catch as soon as you finish shooting
• Use the supplied charger to charge the rifle’s battery
• Charge the battery to 100% before storing the rifle, after this it can stay stored for up to 120 days.
• If the rifle is to be left for more than 120 days, charge it to 100% and disconnect the battery. Simply remove the rear butt pad to access the battery and disconnect
• Once the battery symbol is on its last bar, recharge the rifle. If it is left to fully deplete, charging may not be able to recover the damaged cells
Failure to follow the above instructions can result in damage to the battery. Should this happen, a replacement battery can be purchased from the Daystate online shop here: https://daystate.com/product/aw-dw-rw-11-1v-lipo-battery/
