Daystate Quantum Hi-Capacity Magazine
Extra Shot Payload in ‘Snail Mag’ format
The Daystate Quantum Hi-Capacity Magazine is an official factory Performance Center upgrade for various PCP air rifle models (see below). It extends the rate of fast-fire by offering a high-shot payload and is especially useful for hunters and pest controllers who do not have time to keep reloading.
Design
This factory-original magazine is designed around the ‘snail mag’ format – a name derived from its look. It provides a greater shot-capacity than the standard magazine. However, it retains the simplicity of a gate-opening loading system.
Also, the new Daystate Quantum Hi-Capacity Magazine uses a localised, two-gear drive system with a cam-guided motion. As its primary gear rotates, it automatically engages the secondary gear, ensuring a perfectly synchronized feed of ammo.
Additionally, the new Quantum introduces the ‘Link 8’ concept – a horizontal figure-of-eight carrier system. Individual carrier pairs interact dynamically depending on their position within the magazine’s cycle, ensuring jam-free operation and perfect alignment when finally presented to the breech / bore of the rifle. This results in no loss of accuracy compared to single-shot feed.
Construction
Daystate has always been at the forefront of airgun R&D, and this magazine is engineered using the latest 3D Composite Printing Technology.
3D Printing – or Additive Manufacturing – is the construction of a three-dimensional object from a computer-generated, digital design. This state-of-the-art manufacturing process is now incorporated into many world-leading industries, such as in aerospace and Formula 1 motorsport. It is therefore a natural choice for Daystate’s class-leading airguns. Including the Daystate Alpha and Delta Wolf – the most advanced airguns in the world!
Caliber Availability
Our extended capacity mag is available in four calibers. The shot-capacity varies according to the caliber, as follows:
- .177″ / 4.5mm – 30 shots
- .22″ / 5.5mm – 28 shots (Alpha / Delta Wolf fit)
- .22″ / 5.5mm – 26 shots (Blackwolf fit)
- .25″ / 6.35mm – 24 shots
- .30 / 7.62mm – 22 shots
Fitting and Compatibility
For the Alpha / Delta Wolf , the magazine can be inserted into the breech from either the right-hand side, or left-hand side. For the Blackwolf, the fit is left-hand only. To ensure the rifle shoots with maximum precision, we have designed these Hi-Capacity magazines to be rifle model specific (please select model at checkout). Currently, there are magazines to fit the following Daystate precharged pneumatic (PCP) air rifle models:
- Alpha Wolf / Delta Wolf (all model variants) : left- and right-hand fit into the receiver
- Blackwolf (all model variants) : Left-hand fit only into the receiver
Notes: The Daystate AW/DW magazine will also fit the BRK Ghost PCP air rifle; the Blackwolf magazine will also fit the BRK XR and XR2 series of PCP air rifles. In .22 / 5.5mm caliber, shot capacity is either 28 or 26, according to fit type.
