Description
Daystate Magazine Indexing Pin
The Daystate Magazine Indexing Pin is the activator for the old style ‘legacy’ 10-shot rotary magazine used on certain models (check compatibility below). These legacy magazines are spring driven, so require an indexing pin to activate them. The activator pin will not work with Daystate’s newer style, gate-loading self-indexing magazines.
Operation
The Magazine Indexing Pin is situated in the breech of the rifle. It operates as an activator by pushing up, on the magazine’s integral pawl during the cocking process.
Model Compatibility
A Magazine Indexing Pin is used on the following Daystate PCP rifles:
- Pulsar
- Renegade
- Wolverine (pre-2019)
- Red Wolf (pre-2019)
Note that latest models of the Red Wolf and Wolverine-R are now fitted with the new style, gate-loading magazines. This activator pin will therefore not work in these models. You will not require this pin if your Daystate rifle uses the new style (gate-loading) magazine.
Red Wolf, Wolverine, Pulsar and Renegade models that run the old-style Daystate rotary magazine can be converted. To use the new-style magazine, you will need to fit this Indexing Pin Blanking Plug.
Fitting
You should only fit this pin to the rifle yourself if you feel competent to do so. For some models, Daystate produce disassembly guides (with links to video tutorials) to assist in home gunsmithing and maintenance. You should also check out the Techincal Support page on the official Daystate website for further assistance.
However, we strongly recommend that you take your rifle to an authorized Service Center to have any repair work carried out.
