Description
Daystate Legacy Single Shot Tray
This Daystate Legacy Single Shot Tray fits older PCP air rifle models, such as the AirWolf, Air Ranger, MK3, MK4, Wolverine 1, Huntsman Classic etc. Generally, it will not fit post-2019 Daystate PCP models, such as the Red Wolf. Daystate PCPs made post-2019 use a new Single Shot Tray (SST), also available in our online shop. Nor will it fit the Daystate Alpha / Delta Wolf, which use the AW DW Loader type .
Compatibility
The original Daystate Legacy Single Shot Tray (SST) is precision-made from aluminium, with locating pins and magnets. It will only fit legacy models, like the AirWolf, Air Ranger, MK3, MK4 and Huntsman Classic. To tell if your rifle will take the Legacy SST, check its breech bay. If there are two holes at the rear, or slots at the back of the sliding pawl, it will fit. This original version will not fit newer, post-2019 Daystate PCP models (nor the Alpha / Delta Wolf), which do not have the holes for the pins.
Please note that stocks are now very limited. Due to the differences in breech-fit, you will need to specify which Daystate model (with serial no.). State this in the box provided when adding the order to your cart.
Caliber Availability
The Daystate Legacy Single Shot Tray is available in .177″ (4.5mm), .22″ (5.5mm) and .25″ (6.35mm). Please state the caliber your require in the box provided when adding the order to your cart. However, stocks are now very limited and some model/caliber combinations will not be available.
Please note that the Legacy SST is not available in .303″ (7.62mm) caliber.
Fitting
The Legacy Single Shot Tray simply locates into the breech cutaway in place of the original 10-shot magazine. It is held firmly in place by magnets. It can be fitted and removed by hand, and requires no special tools. The advantage of using a SST is that you hand-load the pellet into the breech. This has three advantages.
- You can load either from the left or right.
- You can visually inspect the pellet before you roll it into the loading bay.
- You get a better ‘feel’ when the feed probe pushes the pellet into the breech.
Some shooters prefer using a SST with their Daystate because of these reasons. Also, some competitions do not allow the use of a magazine-fed rifle.
