This is a B-STOCK Huntsman Sporter Griffin SE Target Stock in laminate grey (#30). It is genuine Daystate factory replacement thumbhole woodwork for this now-discontinued Special Edition Huntsman model. Because it is missing its ‘hamster’ and forend inserts, we are therefore able to offer it as a B-Stock item, priced to reflect its missing components.
Important note: The Griffin was a limited run, Special Edition model and only a few run-on stocks were ordered as spares – so when these are gone, they are gone for good!
What is B-Stock?
A ‘B-Stock’ item is a product which we consider is not ‘new’ (or ‘A-stock’) for a number of reasons. It may be because there is some cosmetic flaw, imperfection or damage, that spoils the look of the item, but which does not stop it from properly functioning. In some cases, it will be a test item that’s been returned and therefore, we cannot sell it as new. We offer such B-Stock products at a one-off, reduced price and provide a fully outlined condition report of it. B-Stock items are inspected, tested and sold as being fully functional, and come with a six-month guarantee against faulty workmanship. However, this warranty does not cover any flaws outlined in this B-Stock listing.
Why you might want a B-Stock item
Unless stated to the contrary, all B-Stock items are guaranteed fully functional. While their reduced price is reflective of the flaws, it gives people the opportunity to acquire the item much more cheaply than if buying it new. In the case of a gun stock, it might be that you want to replace your tired-looking, existing stock. Or you may want to protect your current stock by using a cheaper replacement for the field or range. Or you may simply want to practise working on this stock with a bit of DIY woodworking, safe in the knowledge that you’re not going to ruin the factory stock fitted to your pride and joy!
Condition Report of this particular item
Our factory technicians have inspected this stock. They consider its condition to be B-Stock for the following reasons:
- hamster missing
- Forend adjustment inserts for hamster / accessories missing

Compatibility
This Target stock fits only the Special Edition Griffin model. To fit the current Huntsman Regal and Revere models, you will need to makes some modifications. (eg new hole for belly-mounted manometer).
Design and Features
This stock is ambidextrous. Expertly crafted, it uses high-grade laminates throughout.
Its rubber butt pad and cheekpiece are height adjustable. This helps achieve perfect gunft and, also, optimal eye alignment with a scope.
There are finger scallops on the gently-raked pistol grip for a good hold. Additionally, there are panels of stippling in the contoured and vented forend.
The Daystate logo is laser-etched into both sides of the grey-laminated stock.
Fitting
The grey laminate thumbhole stock fits to the Griffin’s action using the rifle’s existing stock bolt and trigger guard. (Note: There is no bolt or guard supplied with this stock.)
