Fitting a silencer

UK specification

Models X2, MK3

The rifle is fitted with a standard moderator which reduces much of the muzzle noise; however this can be further reduced by fitting an additional silencer. The fitting of an aditional silencer will not alter the power of your rifle, it may however change the point of impact.

Fitting

  • 1. Unscrew the knurled thread protector on the end of the rifle.
  • 2. Screw on the additional silencer - do not over-tighten.

Note: The thread size is 1/2inch UNF which is a common sze used on most airgun silencers.

X2 Merlyn

The X2 Merlyn is fitted with the Daystate Muzzle Flip Compensator (MFC) which is designed to reduce the amount of muzzle movement after firing. On the Merlyn, the MFC has also been fitted with a blanking sleeve to allow the MFC to be used as a silencer.

To remove the sleeve:

  • 1. Unscrew the end plug on the end of the silencer (Note: Left hand thread)
  • 2. Withdraw the insert
  • 3. Replace the end plug and tighten

To fit an additional silencer

  • 1. Unscrew the knurled thread protector on the end of the rifle.
  • 2. Screw on the additional silencer - do not over-tighten, the end plug will start to unscrew.

Air Ranger & Air Wolf

The rifle is fitted with an integral, full length moderator. An additional screw-in adaptor will need to be purchased to allow the fitting of an additional ½ inch UNF threaded silencer.

USA specification

All rifles are fitted with a non removable integral silencer. Due to Federal silencer regulations, additional removable silencers cannot be fitted to these rifles.
