Description
Daystate Breech O-Ring
The Daystate Breech O-Ring is a vital component because it provides an air seal during the firing cycle. A breech O-ring that is worn or damaged will cause air leakage, resulting in poor performance. This could result in low power, poor shot-to-shot consistency. Either of these translate to poor downrange accuracy.
Therefore, to harness the full performance potential of any Daystate PCP, it is vital that the breech O-ring is frequently checked and, if necessary, replaced.
Type
The size, thickness and material grade of the O-Ring is dependent on both the caliber and rifle model to which it is fitted. Also, its location within the breech will vary by model. For example, it may fit directly on the pellet feed probe (bolt). Or it might fit just inside the breech of the barrel.
Fitting
These O-rings user-fittable. There are many resources on the internet that show you how to fit them on specific Daystate rifle models. You may also find one of our Workshop Guides useful.
